Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue knows that in a perfect world all Labrador Retrievers would spend their entire lives with their original loving and responsible owners.

We recognize that in the real world this is sometimes not possible...

Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue would like to assist owners who would like to keep their dogs by providing practical advice on things like housebreaking, basic training and behavioral issues.

We can also refer you to people who specialize in these things.

If keeping your Labrador Retriever is not possible, we will assist you in finding a new forever home for your dog following the guidelines discussed in How to Adopt.

Please understand that all of the dogs in our program live in foster homes.  Because of the large number of Labradors in shelters risking euthanasia, there is a very high likelihood that we will not have a foster home available at the time you wish to relinquish your dog.

If this is the case, we ask that you agree to foster the dog until a foster home becomes available or until the dog is adopted.
